Let’s Talk Real Estate! “THINGS YOU DON’T NEED TO FIX BEFORE SELLING YOUR HOME” May 6, 2026

Fixing up a home to sell can cause sudden feelings of panic when there are lots of concerns to address. While certain items should be prioritized (like health and safety issues), there are some items that can be equally ignored because they simply aren’t important to most buyers and aren’t likely to help your home sell faster or for a higher price. Examples include small drieway or walkway cracks, inor electrical issues, and many costmetic upgrades. Sellers sometimes think they will be required to upgrade outdated building codes, but many are grandfathered in and only need upgrading if they start to fail. Replacing old but working appliances isn’t always necessary, and you can sometimes replace broken applicances with used working ones.

We can advise you on many ways to make your home as appealing as possible to potential buyes. When it comes time to sell, we will put all of our training, expertise, and experience to good use to get you the price you are looking for. This includes suggesting things you might want to do and things you might as well NOT bother doing. There’s no need to go through the selling/buying process alone, not when we’re so close by.
