“Going Door To Door”

You have probably already heard that one of the most cost-effective ways for sellers to boost the attractiveness of their homes is to paint their front door to give it a fresh, welcoming appearance. If necessary, it often pays to go even further by replacing the door and door hardware (door knobs/handles, locks, and knocker). And, the recommendation does not stop magazine’s “2018 Cost vs. Value” report, the all-in cost of replacing an outdated garage door with an upscale steel model provides a 98.3 percent payback on the installation price while also improving the home’s ” curb appeal” and improving the door’s insulation value. New doors open the way for closer inspection by potential buyers. An attractive entryway or appealing landscape can make or break a sale. If your home lacks curb appeal, many prospective buyers will reject it without looking further, or will try to lowball you on price. Clean your front door and give it a couple of coats of paint. Make sure to repair, replace, or remove damaged screen doors and storm doors.
